Relaxation techniques are a great way to reduce stress, anxiety, and tension. Common relaxation techniques include deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, visualization, and mindfulness. Deep breathing involves taking deep, slow breaths and focusing on the breath as it moves in and out of the body. Progressive muscle relaxation involves tensing and then relaxing each muscle group in the body. Visualization involves imagining a peaceful place or situation and focusing on the details of that image. Mindfulness involves focusing on the present moment and being aware of thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judging them.
