Diarrhea

« Back to Glossary Index

Diarrhea is a common condition characterized by loose or watery stools that occur more frequently than usual. It can be caused by various factors, such as viral or bacterial infections, certain medications, food intolerances, or intestinal diseases like Crohn’s disease or irritable bowel syndrome. Diarrhea usually lasts a few days and often resolves on its own without treatment. However, persistent or severe diarrhea can lead to dehydration and may require medical attention.
